Dennis Franz net worth, biography and wiki:

Dennis Franz (produced October 28, 1944) is an American actor famous for his role as Andy Sipowicz, a hardboiled police detective, in the television series “NYPD Blue”. He formerly appeared as Lt. Norman Buntz on “Hill Street Blues”, and before played Detective Benedetto on the same show.

Dennis Franz started his performing career at Chicago’s Organic Theater Company. He’s also guest-starred in shows like The A-Team. Other leading parts were about the television series Hill Street Blues in which he played two characters within the run of the show. Franz first played the part of Detective Sal Benedetto, a corrupt policeman in the 1983 season, who later kills himself. As a result of his popularity with fans, he returned in 1985 as Lt. Norm Buntz, continuing until the show’s ending in 1987. He starred in the short lived Beverly Hills Buntz as the morally questionable Norman Buntz. Franz had a modest part as a grouchy movie director in Body Double (1984). The character of Sipowicz was rated #23 on Bravo’s 100 Greatest TV Characters list.
