Peter William Krause (/kraz/; born August 12, 1965) is an American movie and television performer, director, and producer. In the early 1990s, Krause made several guest appearances on television shows like Seinfeld, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Ellen. Beginning in 1996, Krause appeared in a recurring part as Cybill Shepherd’s son in law Kevin on her sitcom Cybill for four seasons. Even though the show received substantial critical acclaim, it fought to locate an audience and was canceled after two seasons. Krause starred in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under from 2001 to 2005. In December 2006, he played the lead character, Detective Joe Miller, in the Sci Fi Channel miniseries The Lost Room. From 2007 to 2009, Krause impersonated youthful attorney Nick George in ABC’s play Dirty Sexy Money alongside veteran actor Donald Sutherland. He’d initially turned down the part three times.
