Jimmy Dean net worth, biography and wiki:

Although he may be best known now as the originator of the Jimmy Dean sausage brand, he became a national television personality beginning in 1957, climbing to popularity for his 1961 country crossover success “Big Bad John” and his television series, “The Jimmy Dean Show”, which likewise gave puppeteer Jim Henson his first national media visibility. His performing career contained a supporting part as Willard Whyte in the 1971 James Bond film, “Diamonds Are Forever”. He resided near Richmond, Virginia, and was nominated for the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, although he was officially inducted posthumously.

He’d small pop hits, like “Little Sandy Sleighfoot” (a Christmas novelty song) and “Sing Along”, afterwards used as the theme for TV’s “Sing Along With Mitch”. Patsy Cline and Roy Clark got their beginnings on the show. Although Cline and Dean became good buddies, Clark (Dean’s lead guitarist) was eventually fired by the vocalist for what was described as his persistent tardiness. Dean replaced Clark with Billy Grammer. In 1955, Town and Country Time moved to WMAL TV on weekday days. Additionally during 1957 while he lived in Arlington, Virginia, Dean hosted Country Style on WTOP TV, the local Washington, DC affiliate for CBS on weekday mornings. CBS picked up the show nationwide from Washington for eight months in 1957 below the name, The Morning Show.[4][5] Subsequently from September 14, 1958, to June 1959, CBS carried The Jimmy Dean Show on weekday and Saturday days.
